8th Graders - Are you interested in a JROTC class?

BHS expects to have an NJROTC/NNDCC class next year. 

Students with or without plans to join the military can enroll in this class for a PE credit, a health credit, or a CTE credit.  

The class will include physical activity, leadership training, citizenship training, first aid, diet, geography, orienteering, survival activities, and more. 

Enrollment and course completion can give you access to scholarships and military academy appointments or a higher pay grade if you join the military.  

Students enrolled may join the competitive extracurricular teams for color guard, orienteering, obstacle course, 5K, marksmanship, etc. 

Students from BWHS or other area districts can enroll. 

Students from other districts should see their counselor for information.  Students who will be in grades 9 - 12 next year are eligible.

Murder on the Orient Express Movie Book Club

Come join us for movie, mystery, prizes, great food, and fun.   All you have to do is read "Murder on the Orient Express" by Agatha Christie.  (We have them in the library for checkout.) Then join us in the Library Wolf Den on Monday, January 27th from 3:45-5:15. Sign up at the desk in the library.


Spring Play Informational Meeting

Do you want to be a part of the school play this spring? Please join Mrs. Harrison during seminar on Wednesday, January 22nd to learn about the spring play. We will need actors for the play, actors for improv, technicians for lighting, costumes, and stage crew. This year's production will be titled "Bard in the Yard" with short plays spoofing Shakespeare's works.  All students are welcome to come learn about this fun after school activity. Any questions? 3rd Annual FJHS School Geo Bee

The 3rd Annual  FJHS School Geo Bee will on Thursday, January 23rd during the Seminar period (1:25-2:10 pm).

The Geo Bee will be held in the school cafeteria and all parents/guardians are allowed to attend.

 Students, if you want to come to cheer on your classmates then you can purchase a ticket from any Social Studies teacher for 1 dollar! Present this ticket to your seminar teacher on January 23rd and you'll be released to go to the cafeteria.

Learn About Debate! Informational Meeting 1/22- Murry room

Do you like to argue? Do you want to get your point across to others? Debate is for you! Come to an informational meeting right after the spring play meeting. 

Where? The Murry room

When? Seminar 1/22  1:50-2:10pm

Who's Coming? BHS and BWHS (West) debate students will talk about how debate can help you and how it has helped prepare them for high school and beyond.

Who May Attend? All interested students. 7th or 8th grade, whether you are or have been in forensics or a theatre class. Debate is open to EVERYONE.

Better Sign Up for Murder on the Orient Express

We are scheduled to view the movie "Murder on the Orient Express" this coming Monday, January 27th.  If you have read the book, or will have the book read by Monday, make sure you stop by the library and sign up at the circulation desk.  Get on the Orient Express!  It's a night of good food, great prizes, and lots of fun! Showtime is 3:45-5:15.  Make sure your rides are on time.
