ASVAB Offered Dec. 5

The ASVAB will be offered at BWHS on Thursday, December 5 at 9am in the Lecture Hall. You must sign up to take the exam, as spaces are limited. The ASVAB is open to students in 10th-12th grades.

Arkansas Governor's School

Applications are now open for Arkansas Governor's School. To be nominated to apply, please see Mrs. Camarigg. 

Virtual School Spring Enrollment

Families interested in enrolling should complete the Virtual School Intent to Enroll Form. Current Bentonville Schools students in grades 5-12 are eligible to transfer at this time. All in-district transfers must complete the Intent to Enroll Form by November 15th. In-district transfers will begin Virtual School courses in January 2020. Enrollment is limited to students zoned to Bentonville Schools or those with approved out-of-district transfers.

Picture Retake Day

Picture Re-take day is Thursday November 14th.  If you were absent when we had pictures taken please pick up an order form in the front office or SLC.   

If you had your picture taken and need re-takes please bring in your previous packet for the photographers.  

BWHS does not take payments for pictures, that is only done through LifeTouch.

FCCLA Glow Game 11/15

FCCLA is hosting Teachers vs. Students Glow Game on Friday, November 15th during the special event.  Tickets will be sold all week at lunch November 11-15.  Tickets are $2 or a personal hygiene product (feminine products, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving razors, diapers, bug spray, Gain pods, dryer sheets) that will be donated to the Russ Bus.  The first 100 students to donate an item will get a glow bracelet/necklace for the game.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Russ Bus as well.

BWHS Math Peer Tutors

Interested in peer tutoring math during Flex? All levels of math expertise needed - from Algebra 1 - Calculus. Contact Mrs. Brown,, Room 1202 or Mr. Bonds,, Room 1252, for more info.

NHS / HOSA Blood Drive 11/12

The Blood Drive is coming to West on Tuesday, November 12th. Sign up during your lunch to receive your donor pass. Photo ID is required on donation day and 16 year old donors must turn in a parent permission slip to donate. All donors need to eat breakfast and / or lunch prior to donating and must be well hydrated to stay safe. All donors receive a free t-shirt. Students are responsible for making up work that they miss while donating.

Science Fair Meeting

Please join us on Thursday 11/14 during the second half of flex (4.4) in room 2555 for information and updates to participate in the District and possibly International Science and Engineering Fair. 

Freshmen Student Council Applications AVAILABLE NOW!!!

Freshmen student council application are available now in Mrs. Stone's room (2303).  Applications are due back to her room by 2:30 on Friday, November 22nd and if you want to create a campaign video it is due to MR. Stone by 4:00 on Wednesday, November 20th.

License to Howl Arkansas State Scholarship

Headed to Arkansas State and have an ACT of 23 or higher?  Earn $5000 a year in scholarships (renewable).  CLICK HERE for details.

Girls in Construction Tour

The bus will pick up for the Girls in Construction Tour at 8:00 am in front of theschool on Thursday, November 14.  The bus will return by 2:30 pm.

Girls, there are only a few spots left to attend.  If you are interested to see how construction can transform old spaces and would like to hear from Jenny Marrs, HGTV's Fixer to Fabulous, then sign up asap.  We will be touring the Momentary, 8th Street Market and North Gate Plaza.  Permission forms are located in the Student Life Center.

Archery Team Spirit Wear

This is a fundraiser for the Bentonville District Archery Team which means the link is for all middle schools, Jr. highs & both high schools.

FAFSA Day of Assistance

The Hispanic Women's Organization of Arkansas is hosting a FAFSA- Day of Assistance on Saturday, November 23 from 8am-12pm. This is a free service to help students apply for student financial aid for the 2020-21 school year. Please call 479-751-9494 to reserve your spot.
