Fees for HS Courses to be Assigned to Families in MPP This Week!

Families will get new fees in My Payments Plus (MPP) this week for high school courses like art, culinary, anatomy, theatrical makeup, etc.  All course fees were advertised in the course catalog.  This is only the fee process for high school courses for first semester (not for college courses).  NWACC will charge students for college courses in the NWACC billing system.  This is our first year for NWACC to do their own billing with you.  High School Course fees should be paid by October 2.  Families with special needs or concerns should see their campus bookkeeper for questions - Tami McCool 479-696-3421 or

Spanish Club

The first meeting of Spanish Club will be on Thursday, September 30th during 6.3. The $10 dues MUST be paid on MyPaymentsPlus prior to this meeting. After paying dues, sign up using this form  (prior to Tuesday 9/28) and you will be pulled into the meeting.

NHS Applications

All juniors  with a 3.5 or higher GPA will be receiving their invitation and the application for NHS in their school emails tomorrow Friday September 17th.  Applications will be due on October 1st by 4:00 pm and will be submitted via Google Classroom.  If you do not receive an invite and believe you should have please contact Mr. Payne in 218.  Seniors, who are not currently members, will receive their applications on Monday the 20th.

NHS Meeting Flex 6.3 September 23

This is a meeting for current members only.  If you were accepted into NHS last year please plan on attending in the Lecture Hall.  Please sign up for Flex 6.3.  We will discuss our plans for the year.

NWA Rising Leaders Young Women's Conference

The NWA Business Women's Conference, now in it's 23nd year, offers a Rising Leaders mini-conference for young women. The young women's event has reached over 1200 students in grades 8-12 in the NWA region during the last two years. Students interested in participating should complete this form. New Gradebook Program for Grades K-6 Only

As a matter of clarification, TeacherEase is a new gradebook program for grades K-6 only.  It was rolled out this week.  

eSchool, HAC - Home Access Center is still our 7-12 gradebook communication system for grades 7-12.  

Tri-M National Music Honor Society

If you are interested in joining Tri-M please fill out the application. Students must be enrolled in a music ensemble and maintain a 95% average in music with at least an 85% average in overall academics the previous academic year.

Senior Official Transcript Requests

This is a reminder that seniors who are needing official transcripts to be sent to colleges/universities or technical/vocational postsecondary schools must make those requests on Naviance.

QuestBridge College Matching Program for Seniors

Are you a low-income high school senior who has excelled academically, but feels that the nation's best colleges are financially out of reach?  The QuestBridge National College Match can be your pathway to a top college.  Through this college and scholarship application process, you can apply for free to some of the nation's best colleges and be considered for early admission and a full four-year scholarship from the college.

Ignite Survey

Ignite Global Business is currently working on a client project with the City of Bentonville researching what teens 13-18 years old are interested in and why there is a decrease in teenage parks and rec activity. Your feedback is very helpful and much appreciated as we brainstorm ways to get teens more involved in recreational activities. Attached Survey

Library News for You

 Have you ever used NoveList Plus on the Student Portal found on the Bentonville Public Library Website?  It really is such a cool database! There are articles and reviews on both Fiction and Nonfiction. You can browse so many different genres. There are also recommended read lists for every type of book you can think of!! Sept 17th is the deadline to register for the October 23rd ACT. October 2nd is the deadline for late registration. Don't forget to sign up to take the October test. Seats are limited

Chess Club's 1st Meeting

Library Reading Challenge

The Tiger Library is excited to announce a 2021-2022 Reading Challenge! Students will pick up a checklist(handout) in the library featuring over 50 books to be read by May 6, 2022. Some examples are: (1) a book where the main character works at your current dream job (2) A book set in multiple countries (3 )A book about a social justice issue and many, many more! Come by the library to pick up your checklist! There will be a treat for those who finish the challenge:)

Clue Poster Design Contest

Attention Graphic Design/Art Students: This is your opportunity to show your design skills! The BHS Theatre Department is looking for students to design the official poster promoting our fall production of Clue: On Stage!
