Wednesday, February 26 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Teens and Tweens, drop by the Teen Zone of Bentonville Public Library to play Dungeons and Dragons! This program is led by Mekhi S., teen volunteer and Dungeon Master! All skill levels are welcome. The library will provide the module and game components. For students in grades 5 to 12 only.
Registration is not required for this free program, but space is limited.
Tuesday, February 25 @ 4 p.m. students ages 8 and up are invited to a screenless coding workshop in the Rotary Conference Room at Bentonville Public Library. This month, students will learn the concepts of automation and efficiency with this Game Changers "Hack Your Harvest" challenge. Registration is not required for this free program, but seating is limited.
Saturday, February 29 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. is Teen Volunteer Project Day at Bentonville Public Library.
Teens, BPL needs you to serve your library! Each month, teen volunteers of all skill levels are invited to help the Youth Services Department with special tasks, programs and projects. Registration is required and limited. Teen Volunteer Project Day is for teens who have applied to be a volunteer at BPL. Volunteer Shifts for the Day Include: 10 AM to 12 PM 12 PM to 2 PM 2 PM to 4 PM. Register on the calendar tab of bentonvillelibrary.org.

Applying to college can seem daunting, and the prospect of paying for it can seem even more overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. The Quest Bridge College Prep Scholars Program equips high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to apply to top colleges.

The TAC Parking Lot will be closed on Monday, February 24 from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM due to a community event at the TAC. Students may use the Baseball/Softball Parking Lot and the Soccer/Track Parking Lot on that day. There will be a shuttle bus from 6:55-7:15 & from 8:30-8:50 for students to be dropped off at BHS from these parking lots.

On March 6th attend an informative field trip to Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Learn about exciting career options! Immerse yourself in the world of technology! BHS will be providing transportation to the first 40 students to sign up by completing a permission form.
This event will provide you with an opportunity to check out PSU's 278,000 sq. ft. Kansas Technology Center facilities and equipment, participate in dozens of demos and hands-on activities in 12 different programs, experience making items that can be taken home, operate simulators, interact with PSU students and faculty to gain unique perspectives, learn about all College of Technology programs at PSU, check out student organizations and scholarship opportunities, investigate specific program areas of interest, learn about careers in STEM, military and ROTC scholarship opportunities, and learn all about what Pitt State has to offer!

Bentonville Police Department will be hosting its 5th annual Youth Academy at the police department June 8th - 12th, 2020. Academy classes runs daily 9:00 am to 3:30 pm and lunches will provided. Please see Officer Loncarevic or Officer Castro for more information.

It's not too late to sign up in ES for the 'IB DP Course Fair' happening in the Lecture Hall during Flex 4.2 on Tuesday, 2/25.
There are also plenty of spots left for the 'Intro to IB Diploma Programme' meeting happening the same date and place during Flex 4.1.
You have until end of school Friday, 2/21, to change your Flexes in ES. Also, you can contact Mr. Miller (email@example.com) a request that he place you.
Tuesday, March 17 is a testing day for underclassmen, so seniors will be off campus.
Senior students have the option to schedule a college visit, take the ASVAB career aptitude test, job shadow, or do community service.
Seniors must complete the form linked below to indicate how they will be spending the day. After March 17, they must complete the documentation form to verify attendance (signatures required). Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.
