Do you have something or someone to praise at Old High? Did you know that parents and students can boost the morale and culture of their schools by showing gratitude and praise for those who serve? I want to give you the opportunity to do just that! Students and parents can use this link to publicly give your favorites a "Shout Out." A select few will be read over the intercom each Friday and they will all be printed and sent to all teachers in our weekly email. Student and Parent Shout Outs

All applications from 2018-2019 will expire on September 24th which means your child will return to full pay. The accounts will begin charging and families are responsible for the charges at that time.
Applications are located in the main office at Old High. Return completed applications to the main office and we will get them to Food Services.
Any questions, please call Mary Denny at Food Services or Kim Bishop, school counselor at Old High.

Please see the important message below regarding our Fall 2019 Literacy Camp serving Kindergarten through 6th grade students. The Camp’s flyer is here.
Please forward this information to anyone you feel would benefit. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The format of the Fall Camp is a bit different. It is 5 Saturday mornings and is conducted in small group rather than one-on-one tutoring sessions. The focus of Fall Camp is to learn about writing through one children's book author, and then practice writing using one of that author's books as the catalyst for writing. NOTE: If your child can't make it to all 5 Saturdays, they are welcome to attend the other Saturdays and there will be no gap in learning.
We are very excited to announce the author for the Fall is Michael Shoulders. Here is a link to information about him. http://www.michaelshoulders.com/ms/Site/Welcome.html
The registration fee is $49.99.

Wondering how you can be involved with your middle school child? All homerooms need helpers! Helpers help out with party organization, movie night volunteers, etc. Super easy and does not require alot of your time. Please contact Autumn Cribb, PTO President, for more information or to sign up. (email@example.com)
A blurb was sent home with Tuesday folder information. Our program assists families and OHMS students when an emergency arises. The program is designed to help with shoes, coats, school supplies, etc. When a need comes up, you will receive an email letting you know of the need. If you can help, you respond to the email. Please sign up to help our Knights!
Hi parents! Just a friendly reminder...if your child turned 11 years of age on or before 9/1/19, he/she is required to have their Tdap booster vaccination. This applies to ALL students who were 11 years old by 9/1/19. Please make arrangements if you haven't already done so to have this completed as soon as possible please and send in proof to school. If you already have an appointment and haven't yet notified me, please do so. Failure to obtain this vaccine by 10/1/19 (or have a Tdap waiver) will result in your child's inability to attend school. Feel free to call me if any questions or concerns.
Thank you, Nurse Tiffany, OHMS 479-254-5453
Make sure you are ready for our Fall Maker Carnival on September 27, 5:30-7:30. The students from each homeroom have designed and created a carnival game for the entire family and school to enjoy! We also have UofA and the Amazeum coming with games of their own! You do NOT want to miss out on this fun the students have created for you so go ahead and put it on your calendar. (a flier with more info is attached)
Keeping in the spirit of being student focused/led, we'd love for you and your student to volunteer to "run" their homeroom booths for a little bit that evening. Please take time to sign up with this sign up genius.... and don't be afraid to put your Old High Knight to work! It's good for them! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0d48a4a82aabf58-2019
