Bentonville Public Schools Childcare Enrichment Services is a non-profit organization which includes the Adventure Club, Building Bridges, Early Childhood Center, and Parents As Teachers programs.
The district offers school-age childcare from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. during the school year with the Adventure Club program. This service is available for students in kindergarten through sixth grade and offers a full day summer program as well. Adventure Club is also open during intercessions for students attending non-traditional schools.
We also offer childcare to children six weeks to three years of age and Pre-K for children three to five years of age through the Building Bridges program. Centers located at Bentonville High School and Wildcat Way (next to Washington Junior High) offer care for infants and toddlers with priority to parenting teens. Their hours of operation are 7 am - 5:30 pm. The Pre-K facility is located next to Old High Middle School. Its hours of operation are 7 am - 6 pm and is open year round to accommodate working parents. Pre-K classes use the Core Knowledge Preschool Curriculum to help prepare children for kindergarten.
The Parents As Teachers program offers parent education to help parents teach their own children in the early years prior to kindergarten. PAT's goals are to improve parenting skills, train parents to recognize developmental delays, prevent child abuse, and prepare children for the transition from home to school.
The Early Childhood Center follows the traditional school calendar. It is located at 1110 Bella Vista Road next to Sugar Creek Elementary. The program is funded by an Arkansas Better Chance grant and children who are income eligible may attend. There are limited full pay spaces available. They also use the Core Knowledge Preschool Curriculum and have certified teachers in each classroom to help your child reach his or her fullest potential in preschool and beyond.
