Bentonville Public Schools supports Atom 1.0 for syndication of web feeds, rather than versions of RSS. The Atom 1.0 feed can be downloaded by most feed reader programs and is widely adopted by the internet community. Atom Syndication Format is a proposed internet official protocol standard in affiliation with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) since December 2005.
