Tanya Sharp, Principal at Elm Tree Elementary, received Master Principal Designation this morning from the Arkansas Leadership Academy.

The purpose of the Master Principal Program is to provide training programs and opportunities to expand the knowledge base and leadership skills of public school principals.

The Master Principal Program is a voluntary, three phase program, taking approximately three years to complete. The program is administered by the Arkansas Leadership Academy. Both the Arkansas Department of Education and the Arkansas Leadership Academy determine the criteria for the selection of candidates.
