BHS Made the 2012 Newsweek’s Rankings of America’s Best High Schools

Newsweek reached out to principals, superintendents and other administrators at public high schools across the country. In order to be considered for our list, a school had to complete a survey requesting specific data from the 2010-2011 academic year. In all, more than 2,300 schools were assessed to produce the final list of the top 1,000 schools.

SUMMER SCHOOL  

Need to earn credit, recover credit or take Driver's Ed? BHS has you covered! Registration deadlines are approaching fast and class sizes are limited. Pick up a packet in the North or South Office, contact Mrs. Power in room 1405, or click here for more information!

Camp of Champs - July 11-13 at BHS  

Camp of Champs is a youth leadership and personal growth experience open to rising 9th through 12th grade high school students. Camp of Champs will use speakers, activities, and discussions to provide youth with the focus and confidence to create a successful future and to positively influence their family, peers, school, and community. Youth will be challenged, empowered, and motivated to step out of their typical societal role and tap the responsibility of the unlimited power that lies within.  Questions? Northwest Arkansas Music on the Move  

Tiger Stadium will host an event sponsored by the Bentonville Band Program this summer on July 17th at 7:00 pm. Drum Corps International is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to music education through the marching arts. Nine of the world's leading drum corps will compete and perform right here in our own back yard! If you love music, theatre, and dance on a football sized stage, then this is the event for you!! Tickets can be purchased at www.bentonvillepride.com by clicking on the Music on the Move link!

Graduation Pictures

Diploma Pick Up  

Diplomas can be picked up at the TAC May 23 - 25 from 8:30 - 11:30.  Beginning May 29th, diplomas may be picked up in the north counseling center.

High School Baseball Tryouts  

Tryouts for the 2012-13 High School Baseball team will take place July 24, 25, 26 from 9:00 am - noon.  All participants must have a current physical on file with the district. Any questions please contact Coach Abbott  - tabbott@bentonvillek12.org

Club Spotlight - HOSA

Purpose: A career and technology student organization that is recognized by the United States Department of Education. To provide a unique program of leadership development, motivation and recognition. To compete annually against other Arkansas HOSA chapters and winners of this state competition have the opportunity to compete at the national level.(Underclass students must currently be enrolled in at least one medical professions class or, if a student, must have taken Med Pro classes in previous years. Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, with no F grades regardless of their GPA. Students going to state/national competition will be required to pay for room/board at these events.)
